Emissions – Odour & Fogging

PTS not only offer mechanical testing but also involve odour, visual and haptic testing. The odour and fogging that a material release under certain specified conditions are important for the Original Equipment Manufacturer to be able to conform to regulations.

Materials such as foams, plastics and elastomers may have polluting or even hazardous impact on the environment.

Semi-volatile hydrocarbons or as we know it fogging can become a health risk. Standard regulations and limit values have been established to avoid any inconvenience to the consumer. If your standard calls for it, we’ll investigate and assist where we can.
